I (Richard) was born in Ayrshire in Scotland and was brought up on my grandparents farm where my Gran taught me a lot of the skills that have been beneficial to me today.
Having first worked in local hotels as a bar person, then progressing on to front of house to, which has given me some of the skills I have today.
When later on in life I got the fantastic opportunity to go to college and study and complete my qualifications. That has been beneficial in running my Cake and Catering business.
While I was at college I had the privilege of serving Royalty at Murray Field, and been taught by a Master Baker, also being taught Patisserie by a leading culinary figure in the hospitality industry and also being taught at al la carte by another renowned chef.
When I finished college my family moved to the Vale of Evesham in September 2001, to which we then started up our family run business in the village of Wickhamford, Nr Evesham.
Solely starting with celebration cakes having then been asked to cater for a funeral tea, then a christening to which then started us moving into the catering side of the business. The catering has now become a very high percentage of the business but we still have clients coming back time after time for the celebration cakes.
